Micronutrients | Role of the Soil
Rather than discuss micronutrients as plant food or fertilizers, we plan to present the ways in which these “miracle nutrients” go about their work in the plants to benefit you. Then, from their behavior and reaction characteristics, we will draw some conclusions as to their use in proper plant nutrition.
The subject is complicated because plants take up their mineral nutrients from the reservoir in the soil, and soil is not a static system. It is a constantly active, dynamic process involving biological, physical and chemical changes. It is far more complex than we actually know.
